You know how I always complain I can't draw properly on the dry erase board with the "big fat" marker? I'm going to have to stop whining and start practicing. Artist Gregory Euclide creates AMAZING images on white boards, using dry erase marker, ON HIS LUNCH BREAK! Astonishing!
Click Mr. Euclide's name above to read an article written about him and to see more of his amazing drawings.
Welcome to Creative Happenings! This blog is intended to give students, parents, other teachers and the community a better sense of what goes on in the Art Room. Here you'll find (eventually) all sort of interesting tidbits and goings on in the Art world of Cogburn Woods Elementary. I add things and make change as the year progresses so please check back often! - Ms. Ball

29 More Days!
We are absolutely running out of school year! Second grade will have time to squeeze in one more small project before we make our portfolio's the week of May 13th.
We'll be reading/listening to the book The Calabash Cat by James Rumford and creating our own Calabash inspired animals. Although Mr. Rumford's illustrations were done primarily in neutral colors, students will be allowed to use a background color of their choice.
